Important Information for Student Athletes
Before trying out for a team, every student athlete must undergo a physical exam by a doctor and be approved for participation in school sports. Physicians should document their approval by using the TMA/TSSAA medical evaluation form (available for download here). Only physical exams approved after May 1 will be accepted for the following school year.
Student athletes are students first and must keep up their academic work to be eligible to participate in sports. Any grade lower than a C could cause a student to be ruled academically ineligible.
Per MNPS policy, participation on athletic teams is limited to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Most club sports are open to all students.
