Happy New Year! There is much to be excited about as we begin a new year at West End Middle. 2015 is going to be a great year!
A new month means a new IB Learner Profile Focus: Risk-Takers. This month we will focus on how and why appropriate risk-taking leads to better results and new heights.
Quarter 2 report cards will be issued Tuesday, 1/13.
One change that happened over winter break is the creation of a Student Life Office. This office is intended to be a one-stop shop for student needs, and it is located where Mr. Strahine’s office has been. Students who are sick or who need to see the Asst. Principal or Counselor will report to the Student Life Office.
We will begin quarter 3 on Tuesday morning with a school-wide assembly. Students will report directly to the auditorium for a few presentations, including the introduction of Mrs. Noelle Taylor, our new Dean of Students; an introduction to our new heightened expectations for student behavior and rewards for living up to them; and a presentation of our new mission and vision with a corresponding challenge for quarter 3. Our new mission and vision is applicable to our students and all others in our school community.
