Dr. Hammond’s Blue Jay Lineup for 5/3/2015

We had a very successful TCAP week, and we are thankful for the hard work of our parent proctors, our teachers, and our students! Please be advised that there is no more Wednesday morning tutoring for the rest of this year.
We will hold our Athletics Banquet Monday, May 11, at 6 PM in our cafeteria. If your child participated on any of our sports teams, we want you there! Athletes are free, and guests are $5. We will not take money at the door. We need to know how many are coming in order to place food orders, so please register in advance. Many have already registered. Pick up a registration form in the main office. Forms and money are due by Tuesday,  May 5, so that food can be ordered. All participants in attendance will receive an award for participation, and each coach will identify various other award recipients.
This week is teacher appreciation week. The PTSO has planned an incredible week of treats for our faculty and staff, and we appreciate it. We are so thankful for our teachers!
The West End Talent Showcase tryouts run Tuesday through Friday this week. Mr. Strahine is heading this up, so see him for more information.
Our Book Fair runs Tuesday through Friday as well. We will Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) at 9:30 on Tuesday to focus on reading and raise awareness of our book fair.
The Western Division Track Meet begins Monday. Good luck to our runners, jumpers, and throwers competing this week!
The TCAP Social Studies Field Test begins Wednesday. This online assessment will be conducted in social studies classes.
