School Supplies—What to Buy, When to Bring

There’s still time to take advantage of Tennessee’s tax-free weekend before it ends tonight at 11:59, and school supplies are one of the exempt categories. Supply lists for all grades can be found here, or if you like the idea of one-stop shopping, Target’s School List Assist might be worth a look.

Wondering what to do with all the supplies you’ve purchased? Here’s some great advice from a veteran parent: “What my girls do is bring them in via backpack for the first several days. The first day, they bring folders, paper, and pencils. The next day, all the glue stick & scissor things. They bring in the big stuff last – tissues, Clorox wipes, etc. (Don’t bring anything to Blue Jay Beginnings.)”
