Proceeds from concession sales at football and basketball games are a major source of revenue for the athletic program at West End as a whole. Every time you purchase a hot dog, drink, or candy bar, you are participating in a fundraiser that benefits all West End student-athletes. However, raising money in this way is impossible without the hard work of a small army of volunteers. In recent years, our wonderful West High School alumni have handled everything from purchasing/receiving to grilling to cashiering. Now they are looking to reduce their role in concessions, which means we need West End parents to step up. If you believe athletics are an important part of the middle school experience, and especially if you are the parent of a student who plays a winter or spring sport, please consider helping out with football concessions this fall.
