MAP Testing

MNPS administers the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment several times each year to measure student progress in reading and mathematics in grades K-9.  The district has stated that MAP results will be used to support each student’s instructional needs and will not be used to determine academic magnet eligibility or for other high-stakes purposes.

This year, the fall MAP testing window is August 17-September 4. Tests will be administered remotely by school staff via computer.  The tests are untimed, but each subject is usually completed within one hour.

If you have not done so already, please use this form to indicate when your child would prefer to do MAP testing over the next two weeks. Students will be asked to select their top four times, but they will only be testing during two of these times. A confirmation email from a test proctor will be sent to your child’s MNPS email address with instructions and links to their two testing sessions.
