MAP Testing Continues This Week

MNPS administers the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment several times each year to measure student progress in reading and mathematics in grades K-9.  The district has stated that MAP results will be used to support each student’s instructional needs and will not be used to determine academic magnet eligibility or for other high-stakes purposes.

This year, MAP tests will be administered remotely by school staff via computer.  The tests are untimed, but each subject (English and math) is usually completed within one hour.

Students who did not complete MAP testing last week will be tested this week. An email with instructions for taking the test will be sent to your child’s MNPS email address no later than the night before they are scheduled to take it.
