Have You Set Up Your Schoology Parent Account Yet?

By now, your student probably knows all the ins and outs of Schoology, the online learning platform they’ve been using for the last month or so. As a parent/guardian, you can sign up for your own Schoology account. Having your own account will make it easier for you to stay involved in your child’s education this year. A Schoology Parent Account gives you access to:

  • The classes your child is enrolled in
  • Your child’s upcoming assignments
  • Class announcements

Schoology also gives teachers another way to communicate with parents who have an account.

To sign up for a Schoology Parent Account, you will need to request a code from one of your child’s teachers. (You just need one code for all of your child’s classes, and you can get it from any teacher; click here for faculty/staff emails.) Once you have a code, follow the steps in this link to get signed up. Many parents find it useful to receive daily or weekly email digests of their child’s academic activity, which you can do by following the steps at this link. For more information about Schoology Parent Accounts, click here.

5th Grade Learning Packets Available for Pick Up at School

MNPS has provided Florida Virtual School Learning Packets for all 5th grade students. These printouts will make it easier for your student to complete their work this year. Stop by the main office between 9 and 3 during the week to pick up your student’s packet. And if you missed the car parade earlier this month, be sure to grab a free West End t-shirt and car/refrigerator magnet while you’re there. We have lots left over!
